Best Day
I was dreading today since the foiled plan of my first concert - Wondergirls, but still - disappointing nonetheless. But what supposed to be going-out-for-lunch-since-we-have-nothing-to-do-this-fine-Sunday turns out for going wherever the road took us. And the road took us to BSD but passing Alam Sutra to see my dad's favorite thing; water - more precisely, lakes - and the last time we visited that there was a little twister which took out the metal fences there but now they're there and no big winds, but still didn't dampen the mood.
After that, we decided to watch Letters to Juliet because we've already watched everything at the Now Playing (not to mention Toy Story; twice) and while waiting we went shoe exploring. Not a big shock, since that's my dad still does that even though it's clearly holiday perhaps he doesn't know that it meant no work.
They pressed me to get high heels. They think I've outgrowned the year where I should have a shoe-which-made-with-a-little-more-skill a.k.a high heels (Dad should know, he's in the shoe business and he doesn't think making sandals is a big equation compared to heels). I liked my first to be the simple black pumps but my dad doesn't prefer that compared to the snake-skin I tried. He thinks that simple black pumps are not sexy compared to the hot snake skin ones. Psh yeah, like I'd take that comment into consideration. My dad might know everything and anything about shoes but I'm not basing my shoe picks over what he thinks is hot-or-not-for-his daughter's-feet. In short; I still do not own any pair of heels - let alone walk in them.
After the failed attempt at shoe-shopping, we killed time eating Carrot Cake - the Singaporean one - which is a good choice of food because it brought up one excellent meal conversation. Where's the carrot? Where's the cake? Why is it Carrot Cake? It's not orange at all! (I should know, my iPod Nike Pedometer is at that Carrot Cake stage; where's yours?). We three agreed that we like Letters of Juliet - not better than Toy Story although argumentatively my mother protested with no supportive backbone at all.
Leaving the mall, again, we went to one of the make-shifts lake at the Alam-Sutra (although it's past visiting hours but the guards let us in anyway. Dad's pretty intimidating if you let him to be) where my parents are considering it because mainly well of course, it has a lake - beside the houses and Dad loves the ripples of water. They wanted to make it a vacation house and visits at weekends while our vacation house at Puncak is barely visited. You can only manage so many vacation houses.
We were heading home when we passed; my favorite, favorite, favorite place in the world - Times bookstore. It's like my heaven. I swear when I die I want to be at Times, peacefully close my eyes while then Dream a Little Dream playing softly at the background. So while they got a few cookbooks, I got myself an Oscar Wilde - to celebrate my going to college soon. As a little reminder of inspiration.

We had dinner across Times which if you ask me, reminds me of that time we went to Carmel - minus the beach, the ocean mist and includes the cars passing and pretty lights. My dad bought the Vacuum for the factory - the hugest barrel of Vacuum Ace Hardware has and lawn chairs for our now-current-not-at-Alam-Sutra-no-lake-vacation-home while my mother and I went shoe gazing. Shoe gazing and the salesman we got was such a gentleman it tied the whole day into perfection. The day that started out with no direction took its turn to be one of the bests.
I've got Slurpee, shoe-gaze and decided the place where I'd die today. Beat that, tomorrow (where I'll be accompanying mother to her ultra-sonogram, see you tomorrow little brother Elmo, try and beat this last 12 hours).

They'd complain about getting hand-downs but they don't know how it feels giving away memories.

NO DISAPPOINTMENTS AT ALL - except missing the first few minutes because of.. Oh well, it was no less famazing; their voices and everything took me back to 11 years ago. Although sad that Bo Peep wasn't there; poor Woody and the sheep!
I wept at every little thing. And even though I know exactly that the toys would be fine, no harm whatsoever - the waterfall wouldn't stop. Then the end - Damnit, that forced us leaving the theater puffed up red from crying.
Not only that, when I got home I had to give my old dolls to my younger cousins - my mom and I had talked about it for awhile, since my half brother is 7 months along and we need to make some space - but still, it was so sad seeing those toys. I still got to keep my giant Pooh Bear and my colossal white Teddy whose fur always got stuck inside my mouth whenever I kissed it but never ran out of hair.
Room cleaned, watched Toy Story - let's see if my toys would mysteriously return tonight.
Farewell dolls, toys and stuffs, it's time for you to make those other younger kids happy.

Pink Fur Wallpaper
This time, not only my grandma and dad - but my mom and I come with while visiting another one of dad's business friends - this time, this guy owns a store where they sell shoes leathers and there was loads of them. There were little pieces of the leathers cut to be examples and people could take them - Dad said I could pick 'em and so me and mom did.

There was one of pink fur and remember
Alex's from
Wizards of Waverly Place pink fur wallpaper and I asked my mom to have it, but mom said fur wallpapers is a dust plaster so I can't have it. And I wanted to take the sample but because it's just one left, I didn't. I took one of a leopard print because it reminded me of
MelodyAfter that we went home and dad took a nap until a driver of yet another one of his business partner picked him up at 4. There was a knock, I was massaging my dad and my mom opened the door to a man asking for
"Sakati" - so that's what the Chinese calls my dad.
My mom and I were craving for a Takoyaki and we were debating to go out. My dad was still out so we use her yahoo account to call up my dad but he didn't pick up. I told her we could just leave a note on the apartment door but we went out anyway and found a public phone at a little motel. Dad told us he'd be back late and thank god becase my mom and I thought we were going up to another dinner party and we were waiting for him. So then we ate at this little sushi place - there were little cute taps at each table and shitty waitress.

My grandma got 2 grand package of mooncakes when she got home - that means she'd already score 3 so far and dad went bezerk because te suitcases won't fit - my mom however, is the
super-packer. She'd fit the whole thing in the luggage.

Disney Land - not
At 8 am, dad's business partner's driver picked us up and we had breakfast - the hotel had the delicious pinapple bread I had last night and I had that. The driver took us around the town to tourist sightings

and we had lunch then at this restaurant that has a picture of a rat plastered in front of the restaurant's name. No, we didn't eat any rats (or maybe we did but dad said it was meat and I'd have no idea of it until now). The driver ordered 1 kg of shrimp though. Yes, 1 kilograms.
Of Shrimp!

Then he dropped us off at Beijung Lu (Dad: "this is your mom's Disneyland - happiest place on earth"). My mom perked when she realized our hotel was only 2 blocks away from the main Beijing Lu.

Then dad and my grandma (as translator) went off again to meet with another one of my dad's business partners - my mom and I just went off shopping at Beijing Lu and mom bought a Crocs and like, 4 sneakers in 2 hours (even my dad already told us not to go buy anything because our luggages now are as heavy as rocks). She also bought a blue Hermes bag (the one that my aunt had been wanting so much) - for her, she'd wanted to buy another one for my aunt but the store only had one in stock. Dad would have fancy dinners with his clients and mom and I bought KFC take out (:

out there
This the the second - or the first day that I've arrived here - Macau, again, I'm getting bored of all the casinos and bright lights here - but I'll never get bored of the
drag queen strippers and
Cirque De Soleil performances (: We got to the Airport and it was raining, my mom just threw up and we crossed the street to our respective beds at the hotel.
At around 11 am, my parents, grandma and I crossed over to
Zhuhai (okay, I admit that I don't know how to spell that) and while we were filling out imigration cards, there was another tourist from Indonesia. They were from
Medan (my Grandma perked at this) and them with my Grandma and dad were chattering all about our hometown all the way to the queue and those men were also in the shoe business
(Dad perked up at this). And then they both exchange business cards with Dad. My grandma told them to look up my uncle (who's built malls and Medan fair) when they got back to Medan.
There was a nice lady helping us find our way where dad's business partner's driver was supposed to pick us up. After 3 hours of drive we arrived at
Gao Ming (I also don't know how to spell this) and after a nap and shower, my dad's business partner picked us up again and then we stopped in front of a public high school. There we picked up his translator (which is his son's english teacher) and also taught english at that school.
We went to his parent's factory which is kinda going into the woods and my mom was like
"Edward Cullen's house is somewhere in there" psh. My grandma was always the center of the attention - because she's the only one that could speak Chinese fluently. There we were poured tea 24/7 - and it was scroching hot I tell you,
my tounge was scalded because I forgot to blow it.
I would drink the tea and then he poured me another glass, and he kept doing that - it was annoying I tell you. Then,
I'd stop drinking it and he would dispose the tea and filled it again. I was like, "I was waiting for it to cool you jerk" - Of course I said this in Indonesia, outloud yes, which is great because no one understands.
Then he took us to dinner at some fancy hotel restaurant and I can't eat anything - the food was definetely not disgusting but the english teacher was like, "eat this, this is
pigeon" and ECK! and then my grandma said, "here, this is squid, try it, it's delicious" but then the english teacher would be a joy kill and say, "no, no, no, that's a
snake" ew. Thank god there was this hot baked breads and it was so tasty, it's crusts are crispy and inside there's melting pinapple in it. The business partner's son was like, "Are you sure your daughter is full, she barely ate anything blablabla" and again I said outloud, "because you're ordering freak foods, jerk" (Indonesian, no one understands of course) and then he said,
"Next time we'll bring you to McD, yes?" As if there will be a next time
And then he really want to bring me to the drive-through - but I was full with the bread, it was good. As soon as I got back to the hotel, I can't open twitter nor facebook; haha

ice tea
LAST DAY OF SCHOOLOkay, I'm posting this from one of the computers at
Soekarno Hatta's executive lounge.
Lia, my elementary school friend is at the airport too, but I can't see her because she's here to pick up her dad and she's not in the International Departure. I have nothing else to do here than to wait for my plane that leaves for Shanghai that was set to leave at 7, then 10, then now,
12 am - than talking to
Pennia, HuiXian, Nabila, Giu and Ghalib at ebuddy (did I mention I hate ebuddy?). I've eaten like everything here, from pasta, chocolate cakes, frozen cream puffs, soups, salads, sandwiches, pancakes and drank some of my grandma's beer.
Yes,
my grandma drank beer so she could doze off at the plane, but no, not my dad. He has to go all sober because he'll get cranky and he doesn't like beer. Like,
who doesn't like beer? Haha
The day started with the history test; which I didn't study for yesterday and did this morning, very quick review at the last week's test but then interrupted because I want to see the pictures at the 'Buka Bersama' last week at the computer. The questions were mostly the same so everyone finished the test quickly - everyone except for
Adamas who showed up at 8 and by then everyone was already out from the class and there were just me,
cigi, tami, nabol and meutia at the class - finishing reviewing on the photos.
It was like a sleepover, without the pillows and the mattress - but we just laid on the class' floor (even
nabol wanted to move to the library since it has carpeting, but i was so lazy to even sit up). We chatted, gossiped (we're girls, not that it's meant to be
sexist), took (flashback) pictures, r&r meutia's magazine and new TV-shows and filmed a reality TV-show.
Yes, because we're so cool; we filmed reality TV shows at last days of school (even if the story line's kind of messed up)
It's like, so rad. The video might come up soon - depends, if it's too
embarrassing to make it (or too long, it was like 20 minutes of something). It won't make the cut in the uploading room (;
I went home at 11, downloaded iTunes and Skype at my mom's laptop and packed for Shanghai - came to the airport and we can't find the plane's gate and told it was delayed. My dad bonded with some families from the same plane (who's suffering like me as well now, but they chose to suffer outside the lounge, fine). My grandma was like held up at the immigration - like my grand mother -
a terrorist? That's not humor, that's just plain
security stupidity. If you had to ask, yes of course my grandma was fine - she's not a terorist just because she drinks bottles of beer by herself doesn't mean she is.
So now that I lost my hotel reservations due to the delaying airplane, I get to ramble about the very very fugly girl I was standing behind in the line to get into boarding. She was wearing a tank top and keeps kissing her boyfriend - ew
PDA (that's so cute, even more than
Nick Jonas, yes
sorry). And I have this urge to snap her bra-strap. There's a man bringing this huge surf board and a very weird tanned girlfriend of the surfer-boy's.
I realized something today, that
my mother dyed her eyebrows. Am I an awesome observer or what? My dad didn't even know until I mentioned it and my mom confessed that her hairdresser thought it was a good idea. She had highlights two days ago - so her previously red brunette is now redder (like in the sun, it'll look so red like
Marcia Cross's) because
you can't have reddish brunette with black eyebrows (this seems logical but dying your eyebrows doesn't right?). Then my dad has to gone through all his credit cards and passed it to the clerk to check if we can get to the executive lounge without fee - and that he has so many, he just gave the clerk his wallet and asked her to find if anything there qualifies. I'm beginning to think that my parents are delusional; or is it the holiday air?
Okaaay, I'm done rambling, I think I'm going to head to the buffet table and grab some pasta and the chocolate cake - yes, again. I think I've eaten 5 so far - I'm not really keeping count because it'd be scary.
So far I've:
1. Written a blog
2. Bookmarked my own blog at the airport's computer that I've logged in (; (embarrassing but I'm not hiding anything, I'm far too bored)
3. Tasted everything at the buffet table
4. Tweeted
5. Read every Taylor Swift entry at Perez Hilton
I'll be so fat by the time the plane finally boards that by the time I come back 3 weeks later, you won't recognize me!
I hate

Lesung & Peucang
This post is relevant to Tami's, Nabol's, and Ira's postDAY 1Jakarta - Tanjung LesungTanjung Lesung trip was amazing and pretty. The bus trip took like 3 hours and the only person who didn't get to come with us was Eki, one of the new kid. We only realized that he wasn't in the bus after an hour trip and by then we were barely in Jakarta - it was pretty cruel. As soon as we got there,
Kalicaa Villa, we ate and played in the sand, the view was spectacular. There was
Ashley Tisdale's Picture This showing when we arrived. Delia's suitcase was missing so we went to every door trying to find it and it was at the boy's cottage.
The cottage was awesome, each of it has a pool and a gazebo, the bathroom was open-roofed and there's a huge bathtub. I planned to bathe there with Cigi and Delia, since they were my roommates and we didn't though. We plunged into the pool instead.

mutia and i

i didn't have this game back in kindergarten.

tami and i

i know what you did last summer (even if it's supposed to be summer now)

eja & mikey

We had games planned for us by the people there in Tanjung Lesung. Some of the games were fun like the one that soaked me wet. After the game, I plunged into the pool with Cigi, Delia and Nabol. Tami, Mutia, Hany, Hanna and Gikus were sitting at the gazebo and the deck by the pool. We ate marshmallows, chocolates and Pringles and missed the sunset (although some said that we didn't miss anything).
gikus hahaha

Fabiana,

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming

heal the world!

At night we got a briefing about the next day where we'd be spending it at Peucang Island and it was very scary - the things they told us, like there'd be boars, monkeys and deers. After the briefing me, Cigi and Delia went to Ira, Abi, Gisya, and Erin's cottage - we watched TV at their living room with Alif, Ben, and Giu. After that, we went next door and chatted with Tami, Mutia, Hany, Hana, Gikus, Nabol and Dion. We've talked about school and around 11, we prepared for sleep. Me, Cigi and Delia just bunked in with them because we were too afraid to go back to our own place. There was a little conversation that kept everyone up - it wasn't really funny, but at night it sounded hilarious, something about Jeje and
Chorister.
DAY 2Tanjung Lesung - Peucang IslandWe woke up at 5, 30 minutes earlier than the morning call because Tami's alarm with
Mika's Lollipop. Me, Cigi and Delia sneaked back to our cottage and realized we've locked the bathroom all day yesterday. We took a shower and pack our things to bring to Pulau Peucang.
We had breakfast

Then we board to the boat

Mr. Hario and 12th Graders

Along the trip there were octopus and flying fish 'Indosiar'

We sang along the trip, like Heal The World, I'm Yours, SpongeBob, Dora, Hannah Montana, Lucky, Thinking Of You 'you said there's tons of fish in the water and the water's out of tank'

Another 3 hours trip - Cigi and I slept like halfway there

Isn't this exactly like LOST's(the tv series) island? Like by the beach, their old beach camp

We went snorkling! and drank free Coke afterwards

Ghalib, the sand man

XI INTERNASIONAL (;

Tami and I

Everyone - well, almost..

Blingsatan

At night we were like gathering around this circle and we have like this almost, performing show. We sang and dance and everything. We went to sleep at almost midnight and I had to sleep to my side because it was so crowded in our tent. At 2 am, I woke up and Mutia and I went out. Me, because I was sweating inside the sleeping bag and Mutia because she was hungry. Outside was freezing though.
DAY 3Peucang Island - JakartaWoke up early to see the sunrise, although we could barely see it - it was like, it's suddenly bright. I had toast with maple syrup (breakfast was tasty). And I was thinking,
we slept in a tent, get a non-absorbent towel, and we were eating out from a nice big porcelain plate. Then we went tracking to see bulls and birds..

There was like a fresh poop in the middle of the way, and me and Hanna was like
Me: It's still shiny! So it has property of a metal! It's also ductile and malleable
Hanna: Metaloids!
